In the "Cancale" double room with terrace, you can stay with your dog (maximum 1 pet). A supplement of 8 Euros per night (food not included) will be charged. A basket, bowl, and towel can be provided. We also have a dog and a cat living on the property. Please ensure your pet is up-to-date on vaccinations, parasite treatments, etc. Pets cannot be left alone in the room. We do not offer pet-sitting services. You are fully responsible for any damage your pet may cause. In common areas, pets must be kept on a leash.
Baby:
We have a travel cot, a baby bath, and a high chair available for your children. Please feel free to request them when making your reservation.
Environment:
We are trying to limit our impact on the environment in order to preserve and protect nature. Here are the measures already in place:
NEW: Installation of photovoltaic panels (July 2023)
Adjusting the water consumption of our toilet flushes
Installation of water-saving devices for shower heads
Using rainwater for watering
Waste sorting
Installation of a compost
Installation of a high-performance heating system
Insulation the walls of the house
Use of energy-efficient light bulbs
Prioritize the use of natural or "CE" labeled household cleaning products.
Prioritize buying organic products, produced in the region, in bulk
Since the beginning of this venture, we only change our customers' towels if they have left them on the floor.
Since 2022, our guests have been able to choose the frequency of bed linen changes and room cleaning services.
Use of glass water bottles or reusable water bottles

Breakfast is generous and always features homemade products such as jam, brioche, and other cakes. We also source our honey, salted caramel, pastries, and bread from local artisans. If you come at the right time, you can even enjoy strawberries from our garden!
Courtesy tray:
In our living room and veranda you can enjoy
- A courtesy tray for tea, herbal tea or coffee with a view of our garden. This service is provided free of charge to our guests.
- from the library with guides and maps of the region
- television
- board games
- magazines and newspapers
Meal:
Apart from breakfast, we do not offer any other meals on site. You can take away a meal from one of the restaurants in town and eat in our garden, on the veranda, or in the lounge. We also have cutlery and dishes available. However, you do not have a kitchen at your disposal and you cannot cook in your room.
For takeaway meals we recommend:
- Oyster and seafood platters from the oyster beds at La Houle in Cancale or La Ferme des Nielles in Saint-Meloir-des-Ondes
- Al Bon Gusto's pizza truck, which is in Cancale on Wednesday evenings
- the Cancale market on Sunday mornings
Bicycles:
The town of Cancale doesn't yet offer cycle paths, but cycling can be a useful mode of transport for running errands in town, for example. We therefore make our bicycles available to our guests. When you need a bike and one is available, you take it, and when it's not being used by you, it can be used by another guest. No reservation, no charge, just sharing.
And if you are travelling with your bike you can put it in our bike shelter.
For your or our bikes, you must always use a lock for insurance reasons.
